The House of Asterion

In this story the main character is describing his house and what he does to people that visit him. In my opinion this short story is amazing , because it keeps the reader intrigue about what is really going on in this story and making a whole lot of questions , like why the people are afraid of him or why he sees them and think they are weird . It is not until the end of the story that Jorge Luis Borges lets the reader know that Asterion is not a person that he is something else “Will he be a man or a bull?” “Will he perhaps be a bull with the face of a man?” “Or will he be like me?”. In this quotes Borges is letting us know that Asterion is not a man or a bull , that he is a combination of both and the interesting part about it is the way he makes it a mystery.
